Hawks sign five-year deal with Adidas
Melbourne AFL club Hawthorn has signed sportswear giant Adidas as its sponsor in a five-year deal, bringing an end to the Hawks’ long-running relationship with Puma.
Starting in November, the deal will see the sportswear brand supply the Hawks with home, away and clash guernseys, and 1,500 pieces of training kit including singlets, tees, shorts, boots and runners for players and staff.
The deal comes the week after Adidas struck four-year sponsorship contracts with the Hawks’ Melbourne rivals Collingwood and Essendon.
Greg Kerr, Adidas MD, Area Pacific, said: “We are absolutely delighted to be welcoming such a high performance and professional club like the Hawks to the adidas family for the next 5-years.”
He added: “Just like we have with our sporting partners around the world, adidas is committed to delivering a product which provides Hawthorn Football Club with leading edge technology and helps their performance on the field. Our technical experts and designers will work collaboratively with Hawthorn’s high performance and sports science team to achieve on-field success.”
Two of my favourite brands come together … how exciting.
