Melbourne indie Kruse Media hires Dean Shell from UM Canberra

Melbourne-based independent media shop Kruse Media has hired David Shell from UM Canberra as commercial director.

Shell returns to his home town after a nine month stint as group director at UM Canberra. Prior to that he was investment director at UM in Sydney, running the lucrative Australian government business.

David Kruse, owner of Kruse Media, said: “Dean is a fantastic fit; the team is excited to have secured his talents. Dean’s professionalism and attitude will be a huge asset for our clients, team and growth strategies.”

Shell said: “I’m really excited to be returning to my hometown of Melbourne, and the opportunity to join David and his emerging agency was too good to pass up. There are some real growth opportunities particularly in the Melbourne market and I’m looking forward to helping Kruse Media consolidate and grow their business.”

Shell’s career involves spells at PHD, Initiative, ZenithOptimedia and Starcom.
