Airborne has announced its first client win under the Mediabrands umbrella – Georg Jensen, the boutique retailer.

The announcement:

July 10, 2012: Creative agency Airborne has scored its first client win under the Mediabrands umbrella, with premium boutique retailer Georg Jensen appointing the agency to handle creative work for the Australian market.

Airborne became part of IPG Mediabrands in January this year and had previously worked with Georg Jensen on a project basis.

Georg Jensen, which was established in Denmark in 1904, has 100 offices in 12 countries and a significant business in Australia offering a wide range of lifestyle products from hollowware, to watches, jewellery and home wares.

Nadia Bayfield, Georg Jensen’s Australia Marketing Manager, said the company had confirmed Airborne as its creative agency based on the quality of project work the agency had produced. “Airborne understands Georg Jensen’s premium brand positioning and the agency’s work completely reflects that quality,” said Ms Bayfield. “Airborne also understands the need for effectiveness in the current retail environment and they are a flexible, proactive and detail-oriented agency to work with. It’s great to have them on board.”

Airborne will develop and manage design and creative work that appears in formats including magazines, out of home, events, in-store, electronic direct mail and other digital channels.

Airborne Managing Director Scott Player said the Georg Jensen assignment was an important boost for the agency. “Georg Jensen is a highly recognised premium brand and we are very focused on helping them drive their already successful business in Australia,” said Player.
