Hogarth Australia announces new managing director

WPP’s international creative content production organisation, Hogarth, has taken on a new managing director for its Australian operations.

Announced on Thursday, Anna Quinn will be tasked with ensuring that the business is producing high-quality work and content that satisfies client and commercial goals.

On top of the above, she’ll be mostly working on Hogarth Australia’s expanding client roster, while reporting to the company’s chief executive officer (CEO), Justin Ricketts.

The move will see the media expert depart luxury communications and media agency, MAXMEDIALAB, where she has been serving as its managing director since mid-2023.

Prior to that, Quinn completed a nearly six-and-a-half year stint at Nine, working in general managerial and director roles from August 2016 to the end of 2022. The CPA-qualified digital operations and transformation leader also worked at Bauer Media, in addition to serving as a non-executive director at Pedestrian Group for close to 12 months from August 2017 to May 2018.

Her career – which spans more than 20 years in senior positions – has given Quinn high levels of expertise in integrated content studios, digital, media, and in the finance and marketing industries.

“I am incredibly impressed with the vision that Richard Glasson and Justin Ricketts have for Hogarth, especially their focus on innovation through cutting-edge AI tools and technologies,” Quinn said.

“The talent and dedication of the team here is truly inspiring, and I’m thrilled to be part of such an innovative organization.

“Being part of the WPP network presents incredible opportunities, and under Rose Herceg’s leadership in Australia, I am confident we will continue to drive exceptional growth and success.”

“Our proposition continues to resonate well with large enterprise clients – both locally and globally,” Ricketts said.

“As we continue to grow, we believe it’s time to invest in our local leadership team and after an extensive review of the market we believe that we’ve found someone in Anna with the right experience and passion to really impact our next horizon of growth across Australia and New Zealand.”

With Quinn’s involvement in managing the business’s operations, Ricketts has taken on an addition role – global chief transformation officer.

Moving forward, Ricketts will retain his position as Hogarth AUNZ CEO, while the organisation’s day-to-day operations will be helmed by Quinn and its chief operating officer, Caroline Berdayes.

As the global chief transformation officer, Ricketts’ job is to facilitate crucial transformation projects for Hogarth, with the goal of “optimizing global client partnerships and helping to transform the Hogarth offering through AI and new products and services.”
