AO hits back to win Tuesday entertainment as Nine takes the night
Australian Open’s day two on Nine has topped entertainment on Tuesday despite a lukewarm launch on Monday.
The Tuesday night matches aired to 462,000 metro viewers. The session saw Alex De Minaur (Australia) playing against Yu Hsiou Hsu (Chinese Taipei), and Novak Djokovic (Serbia) against Roberto Carballes Baena (Spain). Djokovic returned to Australian Open this year after his three-year ban was overturned.

It was also the top program for key demos of 16-30s and 18-49s, while Seven News at 6:30 won over the 25-54s.
Next in entertainment was Home and Away on Seven with 460,000 metro viewers, followed by The Chase Australia on the same network, with 440,000 metro audience.
The night pre-match and night session two of the Australian Open on Nine came next, attracting 367,000 and 341,000 metro audience respectively.
Seven’s Big Bash League between Sydney Sixers and Adelaide Strikers aired to 294,000 metro viewers, while Ten’s The Bachelors had 288,000 metro audience.
The #1 program on Tuesday was Seven News which aired to 890,000 metro viewers, while Seven News at 6:30 had 846,000 metro viewers. Nine News had 653,000 metro audience and Nine News at 6:30 had 648,000 viewers.
Nine was the overall network winner on Tuesday night with 34% share, followed by Seven with 27.4%. Ten had 15.6% while ABC saw a 13.9% share.
Nine also won the primary channel share with 22.2%, and the top-rated multi-channel on Tuesday was 9GO! with a share of 4.3%.
In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 10 January, Seven News at 6:30 was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.374 million viewers, including 37,000 on BVOD and an uplift of 3%.
The program with the biggest uplift was Ten’s The Bachelors ON Tuesday with an uplift of 59% and had a total of 593,000 viewers, and BVOD audience of 155,000 nationally.
