APD’s John Matthews joins Fox Sports as director of customer acquisition

Former Asia Pacific Digital group head of performance and media John Matthews has joined Fox Sports as director of customer acquisition.

Matthews was previously general manager of affiliate marketing company DGM, before joining APD in 2015 in its Singapore office.

He joins Fox Sport as APD announced it would accept a stock market take over by Melbourne-based digital transformation and marketing group, Trimantium GrowthOps.

“John has joined us in the director of customer acquisition role,” said a Fox Sports spokesperson.

Fox Sports’ parent, Foxtel, is looking at boosting its subscriber base ahead of a planned IPO later this year, a strategy laid out by CEO Patrick Delany when announcing the company’s deal with Cricket Australia earlier this year.
