APN Outdoor retains Transport for Brisbane and Transdev Melbourne, Warburton to focus on acquisitions

APN Outdoor has renewed contracts with Transport for Brisbane, Transdev Melbourne and Adelaide & Parafield airports, the company announced at this morning’s Annual General Meeting.

The latest client wins follow APN Outdoor’s renewal of its Sydney Trains and Melbourne Metro Trains, which were confirmed over the last few months.

They also follow the appointment of new APN Outdoor CEO and managing director James Warburton, who commenced his role in January, and a major brand revamp and redesign of the out of home operator by Hulsbosch.

This morning, Warburton said the company would now focus on acquisitions and innovation.

“We are in a very strong position,” he said.

“As a business we can now focus on acquiring new key contracts and further developing the offering we provide to our clients.”

He added the new contracts – which APN Outdoor has said are ‘substantial’ – represent an “important part” of the company’s advertising offering.

Transport for Brisbane has the rights to more than 4,000 panels across almost 1,2000 vehicles in Brisbane. APN Outdoor has held the contract for more than 30 years. Melbourne’s bus contracts, Transdev, is made up of 500 buses, 1,800 panels.

“The far-reaching impact they provide delivers a compelling proposition and cements our commitment to the development of our transit and billboard product offering,” Warburton said.

“We are thrilled to be continuing our relationship with all partners and look forward to driving innovation in all that we do, delivering greater cut-through and effectiveness for advertisers.”
