Australian Avocados poke fun at ‘millennial mortgage woes’ in first campaign by Ikon Sydney
Australian Avocados is pushing back against the notion it responsible for the younger generation’s inability to purchase housing, in a campaign which says the fruit actually makes everything better.
Everything – from breakfast, bodies, facials, health, barbecues, bowls and babies – is improved, rather than worsened, with the addition of avocados, the ad says.
The ‘Smash an Avo’ campaign forms part of a complete brand refresh for Australian Avocados, and this is the first piece of work since Ikon Sydney won the account earlier this year.
Rob Martin Murphy, ECD at Ikon, said in a statement: “The new Avos campaign reminds us how good avocados are and shows how they make absolutely everything Aussie better… well, almost everything.”
Claire Tindale-Penning, marketing manager at Hort Innovation, said the campaign has a cheeky and friendly approach.
“We think it has a little something that everyone can relate to. We’re confident it’ll help strengthen Australian Avocado’s place in Aussie culture, as well as its role as part of a happy and healthy lifestyle.”
