Blue 449 wins National Breast Cancer Foundation media account

Media agency Blue 449 has scooped the media account for the National Breast Cancer Foundation after a competitive pitch.

The pitch involved three agencies in total however incumbent Switched On Media did not participate in the process.

The account will include all media with a focus on performance media.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation is Blue 449’s fourth win for the year since the agency formerly known as Match Media rebadged. Earlier this year the agency won Southern Cross Travel InsuranceRoyal Caribbean Cruises and 20th Century Fox.

Hannah Turner, general manager of marketing for NBCF, said in a statement: “Blue 449 were clear and away the agency that demonstrated to us a passion for our mission and a smart and analytical approach to delivering consistent donations and helping us get there. We are excited about what Blue 449 can bring to the National Breast Cancer Foundation through this partnership and looking forward to getting started.”

Zara Cobb, head of planning and knowledge at Blue 449, said in a statement: “At Blue 449 giving back and making a difference is hugely important in our culture so when The National Breast Cancer Foundation first approached us we were thrilled. Theirs is an organisation very close to a lot of us personally and we couldn’t be more excited to help the team deliver their mission of towards zero deaths by 2030.”

Blue 449 also works on a pro bono basis with the Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation through their corporate social responsibility program, SPARK.
