Blue449 appointed to insurer account in second win of the year

Media agency Blue449 has announced Southern Cross Travel Insurance as its new account.

The agency won the account following a three-way pitch and will cover the media strategy, planning and buying for the business, focusing on digital activity.

Following its first win of the year, Royal Caribbean Cruises, in January, the agency starts its role with the insurer immediately.

Craig Morrison, CEO at SCTI said: “We were impressed by the team at Blue 449 throughout the whole process. Their expertise and knowledge around data and analytics, combined with their best in class media capabilities were clearly market leading. They share our ambition for the brand and will help us unlock new directions and streamline our digital capabilities.”

Blue449 rebranded from Match Media in December last year, two years after its founder John Preston sold the agency to Publicis Group.

Duncan Parfitt, head of performance and analytics at Blue 449, said: “It’s a privilege to work with such a progressive brand and marketing team. They have already demonstrated true partnership in their operation and our team is extremely excited with the opportunity to work together.”
