BMF hires Pia Chaudhuri as group creative director

BMF has hired Pia Chaudhuri as group creative director.

Chaudhuri replaces Luke Martin, who was group creative director at the agency for eight months before moving to 72 and Sunny as head of product earlier this month.

Chaudhuri joins after a period contracting as a creative director.

Chaudhuri was previously the creative director at 72 and Sunny between 2017 and 2018. Prior to that, she spent four years at One Green Bean, leaving as executive creative director.

Most recently, Chaudhuri has been contracting as a creative director for DDB, The Monkeys and One Green Bean.

She is also the chair of the Impact Jury for this year’s AWARD Awards.

Chaudhuri said of her appointment: “There are few agencies you walk into and immediately feel at home. I’m pleased to say BMF is one. I’m excited to be joining some of the nicest and most talented people in the industry, to help build on what is already an incredible creative legacy.”

BMF executive creative director, Alex Derwin, said: “As soon as Pia walked through the door I knew I wanted her to stick around. Smart, strategic, curious and a great collaborator, she immediately earned the respect of all parts of the agency. Not content with just making our work more interesting and diverse, she’s intent on doing the same for our industry. BMF is lucky to have her, and so is our industry.”
