Bohemia appoints Sam Westaway as media director in Melbourne
Bohemia’s growth ambitions in the Melbourne market have continued, with the agency appointing Vizeum’s former director of client services, Sam Westaway, to the role of media director.
CEO of the M&C Saatchi-owned agency, Brett Dawson, said it was a critical appointment for the group.
“We were looking for local talent, with a passion and expertise in the draft of media and experience in both media and creative agencies. In Sam we found it all complete with the entrepreneurial spirit that make Bohemians tick. His remit is to take the spirit and capability of Bohemia to Melbourne, adding the required local ingredients ti meet local client growth ambitions.”
Throughout his career, Westaway has worked with clients including the AFL, Racing Victoria, Dons Smallgoods, GWS Giants and Racing.com. He’s spent time as client services director at Cornwell, national strategy director at Austereo and group communications director at Clemenger.
He said: “It was the Bohemia culture, leadership and independence that I was immediately attracted to. I am looking forward to working with our Melbourne clients and driving genuine business outcomes.”
Last month the agency also appointed Rebecca Hamilton to the media director role in Sydney. Hamilton joined from Disney Theatrical Productions and will oversee the agency’s Freedom Furniture and Michael Hill accounts.
