I’d be interested to read the small print around that Optus Sport number. If they’ve gone from a million subscribers (mostly getting their sub free as an add-on to a mobile plan) to 900k people paying $7 a month (since they pretty much stopped that benefit), that’s probably a boost to their bottom line worth taking.
