Little has changed for the Brisbane market since the first GfK metro radio ratings survey of the year, with Nova 106.9 retaining the lead at a 10.6% overall share, despite a small fall of 0.2 percentage points.
Survey two ran from Sunday 6 February to Saturday 26 February and Sunday 27 February to Saturday 2 April.
Coming in second place overall was Hit Network’s B105, which grew 1 percentage point for a total share of 10%, the biggest overall winner of survey two..
The biggest variance on the last book was a 1.3 percentage point loss suffered by Nine Radio’s 4BC, dropping the station down to a 6.9% share overall.
KIIS973 regained some of its losses with a small gain of 0.6% since the last survey, which saw the station fall from the top spot with a huge loss of 2.7 points following its’ January rebrand from 97.3FM.
ABC Brisbane again topped the breakfast timeslot, scoring 12.4% of share. Despite a loss of 0.8 percentage points the station was able to stay in the lead after a massive 3.9% increase during survey one.
Coming in second for breakfast was Hit Network’s B105 breakfast show Stav, Abbey and Matt, with a growth of 2.3 points for a share of 11.4% that saw the network soar ahead of Nova106.9’s Ash, Luttsy and Susie O’Neill, which fell 0.2 points to 10.5%.
Other notable movements for the breakfast timeslot included a big gain for triple J’s 4JJJ, up 2.3 points to 6.8%, as well as an equivalent loss for Nine Radio’s 4BC Breakfast, which fell 2.3 points to 7.6% of share after remaining steady over the last few books.
For drive, Nova106.9 remained steady with a slight growth of 0.1 points keeping the station’s Kate, Tim and Joel firmly in the lead on 13.4% of share for the timeslot.
Hit Network’s B105’s national drive show Carrie and Tommy also sustained its’ second place position on 11.1%, ahead of ABC Brisbane which saw a significant growth of 1.2 percentage points to a share of 10.4%.
The drive timeslot also saw another disappointing loss for Nine Radio’s 4BC drive show with Scott Emerson, which felt a 1.2 point loss down to 4.2%.
