Carat CMO Andrea Rule joins LinkedIn to lead enterprise sales

Carat Australia’s chief marketing officer Andrea Rule has joined LinkedIn as head of enterprise sales for the company’s marketing solutions arm.

Rule joined Carat in April 2017 after five years at Yahoo in various roles including head of brand.

Simon James-Williams, national managing director of Carat ANZ, told Mumbrella the agency will not be replacing Rule, saying: “Carat’s leadership teams across Australia will continue to drive Carat’s culture and business growth in their markets.

“Their market expertise and focus means they’re perfectly placed to draw on the capabilities and tools we have across DAN – including the newly introduced Salesforce – to deliver the best results for clients and drive new business.

“They will be supported by a team of senior marketing communications professionals who sit within Dentsu Aegis Network’s Centre of Excellence for communications and design. As such, the CMO role does not sit within the current structure.”

Commencing her Sydney-based role on April 1, Rule will be responsible for LinkedIn’s pitches to agencies and enterprise customers.

Rule will report to Prue Cox, director for marketing solutions for LinkedIn in Australia and New Zealand.

Speaking on Rule’s appointment, Cox said: “We are excited to have Andrea join us at LinkedIn to lead the Enterprise Sales Team. With over 13 years’ experience in digital sales and marketing, Andrea will perfectly complement our mission to be customer focused and deliver outcome based solutions”.
