Carat confirms return of bespoke virtual festival Couch-ella in 2021

After a successful debut in 2020, media agency Carat has confirmed it will bring back its bespoke virtual festival Couch-ella later this month.

Taking place on 19 May, Couch-ella will give 2,000+ clients, media partners, journalists, Carat and Dentsu staff access to a range of virtual presentations across themes including comedy, cooking, fashion, life hacks, sport and trivia.

Carat has once again partnered with Dentsu’s brand experience, sport and entertainment agency, MKTG, who’ll bring the event to life.

After last year’s event took place with most of the country in lockdown, the 2021 Couch-ella will feature a new ‘real-life’ element, with further details to be announced.

Carat ANZ CEO Sue Squillace said holding the event again comes off the back of the fantastic feedback Carat received from the industry last year.

“We launched Couch-ella as a way to reward our staff and clients during a very tough time in lockdown in 2020 when we all felt disconnected and looking for positive inspiration whilst stuck inside our homes.

“The feedback from last year’s event was amazing and we are thrilled to have the festival return again this year.  The support from our clients and media partners has been extraordinary and we can’t thank them enough for jumping on board and once again uniting the industry.”

Last year’s event featured MKR judge Manu Feildel, ARN radio hosts Christian O’Connell and Amanda Keller, Roxy Jacenko, Marty Johns, and also included a virtual Nova Red Room featuring Delta Goodrem.

Carat staff also voted on the top three sessions of the day, naming Cooking with Manu Feildel, Getting Financially Fit with Yahoo Finance and the Nova Red Room hosted by Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald as the best experiences from the day.

Carat will announce the full lineup for 2021 Couch-ella the week commencing 10 May.
