Cat Bowe departs Bauer Media after five months
Cat Bowe, BauerWorks’ first brand partnership director, has departed the company after five months.
The former sponsorship director at Fairfax Media joined Bauer in February this year, following a stint as commercial director for professional surfer Sally Fitzgibbons’ lifestyle business, Fitzgibbons International.
At the time of her appointment, Eugene Varricchio, BauerWorks’ executive general manager, said: “Cat has a proven track record of working with some of Australia’s leading companies and government organisations and I’m delighted she is bringing that experience to BauerWorks to help drive new commercial partnerships.”
Earlier this year, BauerWorks also appointed Catherine Ross as director of insights and Stu Stevens as digital director.
The news follows the publishing company’s announcement Nick Chan had departed as CEO, with Peter Dykzeul stepping in to replace him.
It also comes after Bauer Media lost a defamation lawsuit to Rebel Wilson, and Kim Doherty left her role as editor-in-chief of the Australian Women’s Weekly, replaced by OK!’s Nicole Byers.
Bauer Media confirmed the departure.
