CEO Magazine announces executive awards, celebrating business achievements

Australia’s business magazine, CEO, has today announced a new ceremony dedicated to commend achievements in the business world of executives. Entries for the The Executive of the Year Awards close September 28, while the ceremony will take place in November at Sydney’s Doltone House.

The announcement:

The CEO Magazine is delighted to announce the first ever 2012 Executive of the Year Awards recognising individual excellence in high-level executives across Australia. Entries are now open and winners will be announced at a gala awards evening, hosted by Eddie McGuire, at Sydney’s Doltone House on Thursday 29th November 2012.

Chris Dutton, Managing Director and Founder of The CEO Magazine said he is enormously proud to introduce the first ever 2012 Executive of the YearAwards.

“It is very satisfying to develop a new Awards program that puts the focus on the success of individuals that make corporations tick – namely CEOs, Managing Directors, CFOs, General Managers and other members of senior management.

“We are breaking new ground with this program as many business awards are given to the corporations themselves, yet we all know that the actual employees are the real assets. The response we’ve had from Australian companies has been amazing. It’s also a privilege to be working with Eddie McGuire for the gala awards evening – it’s going to be a huge night.”

The awards identify the achievements of aspiring and established leaders in fifteen categories with key categories including Young Executive of the Year, Executive of the Year and CEO of the Year. An expert panel of highly regarded business professionals including Gerry Harvey will judge the nominations with finalists announced on Monday 22nd October 2012.

The entrants will be judged on their achievements in their executive role over the last 12 months. Thisincludes their personal achievements, the contribution/difference the individual has made to the company where they work, any financial highlights and initiatives put into place and how the applicant has gone ‘above and beyond’ their job description.
