Cockatoo Island Film Festival sets sail
The Cockatoo Island Film festival will also include a sailing event, the organisers have announced.
The announcement:
Australia’s newest and most novel international film festival is adding a spectacular celebrity-studded sailing event to its program.
The Cockatoo Island Classic will bring down the curtain on the inaugural five-day Cockatoo Island Film Festival, with participants finishing off the southernmost point of the Island on the afternoon of October 28.
There’s a photo call and announcement this Wednesday to outline the event:

Cockatoo Island Film Festival is an initiative of the Cockatoo Institute (Film and Television) and supported by the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust, NSW Mining, Hoyts and Oovie.
More than 200 works will be selected for the International and Australian Short Film Competition, which will include the Young Filmmaker of the Year award.
