Clemenger BBDO Melbourne strengthens executive leadership team with new addition

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has promoted Pippa O’Regan to the newly-created role of executive director of retail business, which also sees her join the agency’s executive leadership team.

O’Regan joined the agency in 2016 as director of retail, and most recently served as managing partner on the Myer account.

Jim Gall, who became CEO of the agency earlier this year after Gayle While departed, said O’Regan’s efforts leading key retail work meant the promotion was well-deserved.

O’Regan has been with the agency for four years

“Pippa has proven herself to be an astute and dynamic business leader who has led significant change in the agency’s approach to retail solutions, particularly over the last nine months,” Gall said.

“Pippa has led the Myer business brilliantly through a period of enormous change and the results have been outstanding, both in terms of the performance of the work and the quality of our creative product.

“It makes sense that with the additional specialised capabilities now being delivered through the Clemenger BBDO Melbourne Group that Pippa is well placed to capitalise on delivering a far more contemporary, data informed, customer-led, technology driven offering to our retail clients.”

O’Regan added: “I’m excited for the opportunity to join the executive leadership team and to play a role in driving the agency’s vision forward, along with the development and growth of our strong retail capabilities across the business.”

Earlier this year, the agency bolstered its leadership team with the additions of chief operating officer Dave Keating and head of planning Jacqueline Witts. It also hired two executive creative directors, Jim Curtis and Ryan Fitzgerald, from Droga 5 in response to previous chief creative officer, Stephen de Wolf, leaving for BBH London.

Last week was monumental for Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s Clemenger Group stablemate, CHE Proximity, with the news that both CEO Chris Howatson and chief creative officer Ant White would be departing to set up their own shop, Howatson + White.
