Jim Gall to become CEO of Clemenger BBDO Melbourne Group as Gayle While departs
Clemenger Group New Zealand CEO, Jim Gall, is moving back to Australia to become the CEO of Clemenger BBDO Melbourne Group.
The appointment comes as Clemenger BBDO Melbourne CEO, Gayle While, is returning to the UK after four years with the agency.
Gall steps into the Clemenger BBDO Melbourne role from Clemenger Group New Zealand
She joined the Clemenger BBDO Melbourne in 2016 from CX Lavender as head of CRM, and was promoted to deputy CEO in 2017.
Gall joined Clemenger Group in 2013, when his agency, Redhanded Communications, was acquired by the group. He became CEO of Clemenger Group New Zealand in October 2018. Clemenger Group said that “the agencies under his leadership in New Zealand [shared] in some of their best years both creatively and financially”.
Gall’s remit will now include Clemenger BBDO Melbourne Group’s advertising, digital consulting, web development, e-commerce, mar-tech, production and activation units. He will also remain chairman of the Clemenger Group New Zealand.

Clemenger Group executive chairman, Robert Morgan, praised Gall’s experience, and said the business was sad to say goodbye to While.

Gall said it was good to be returning home.
