Lucie Austin to return as Coca-Cola South Pacific marketing director, replacing Lisa Winn

Lucie Austin, architect of the 2011 Share A Coke campaign, is to rejoin Coca-Cola South Pacific as marketing director following the departure of Lisa Winn.

Austin previously held the position until she left Australia to become Coca-Cola’s marketing director for North West Europe and the Nordics in 2013, before being promoted to oversee the company’s Western European marketing.

The integrated Share a Coke campaign saw Coca-Cola offer personalised Coke bottles, and won the 2011 Mumbrella Advertiser of the Year award for having “humanised and socialised a faceless corporate.”

In her Western Europe role, Austin led the relaunch of Coke Zero Sugar across 14 European markets and the rollout of the glacéau smartwater brand.

A Coca-Cola spokesperson told Mumbrella: “During her last tenure at Coca-Cola she championed ‘always on’ consumer and shopper programs, built digital capability, and spearheaded a program of innovative new product developments and reformulations.

“Lucie brings with her exemplary marketing experience having served 10 years at The Coca-Cola Company and held senior roles in FMCG and healthcare sectors at Unilever, Campbells, and Boots Healthcare prior to joining the Company.  She also holds a Masters Degree from Cambridge University and a Diploma from the Institute of Company Directors.”

The spokesperson also thanked Winn for her contributions to the brand.

“Lucie will take up the reins after her good friend and successor Lisa Winn decided to step down from the role to devote more time with her young family.

“After 15 years at Coca-Cola, Lisa Winn has been an integral part of our success including leading the award winning #ColourYourSummer as well as the launch of Powerade Ion4, Cascade, Barista Bros, and most recently Keri Juice amongst many more.

“Coca-Cola and our agency partners thank Lisa for her many years of exceptional service and the lasting contribution of her work.  We wish her all the very best for the future.”

Austin will be rejoining Coca-Cola South Pacific in April.
