With Collective branches into content production with new division

With Collective has launched a content production division, hiring former M&C Saatchi producer, Iain Todd, to lead the business.

The agency has been rapidly expanding since it was taken over by Dentsu Aegis in September. Expansion has included adding two new heavyweight creative teams.

The decision to move into content production adds to its existing capabilities in development and user experience.

I wish them well and genuinely hope that it all works out for the better.
Having said that, I must add that my broad experience of production has me thinking that it will not be all beer and skittles, and the chances of falling over are very high.

When contemplating a bechamel sauce from scratch, it matters more how the ingredients are combined and seasoned, than it matters from whence they come.

Sometimes an attempt to keep everything in the family leads to disastrous results.
