Netflix ANZ dips into the Snack Drawer for editorial, social push

Netflix ANZ has appointed creative agency Snack Drawer to manage its editorial content and social media. The agency will oversee Netflix ANZ’s social accounts to drive engagement across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and podcast channels.

The agency was founded by ex-Thinkerbell group account director Jamie Searle and Hannah McElhinney, previously working at Vice Media.

As a result of Netflix ANZ win, Snack Drawer is hiring for three positions dedicated to the account; a chief of staff, an editorial lead and a content creator who will join an existing team of creators and social media executives.

The streaming company is the latest addition to Snack Drawer’s growing client roster, including NBCUniversal, Eucalyptus, Smiling Mind, Swinburne University and Wanderlust.

Searle, Snack Drawer’s managing director, said: “We are thrilled to be working with one of the most recognisable and exciting entertainment brands in the world. Netflix is ubiquitous in the cultural conversation in Australia, and we are delighted to be able to help facilitate that with content creation across social and podcasting.”

McElhinne, chief creative officer of the agency, added: “It’s so unbelievably wild to be working with Netflix ANZ across all their socials, especially with upcoming local productions on the horizon. It’s an exciting time for ANZ entertainment and pop culture already, and working with a brand that’s at the forefront makes it even sweeter.”
