Domino’s rebrands charity via Elevencom

Domino’s, along with its creative agency of record Elevencom, has branded its registered charity ahead of World Pizza Day on February 9.

The announcement:

Not all superheroes wear capes. But they do eat Domino’s pizza.

On Friday 9 February 2024 (World Pizza Day), more than 900 Domino’s stores across Australia and New Zealand will band together to support the Company’s third annual Domino’s for Good Day.

On this day, Domino’s stores will donate $1 from every pizza* and 10c from every drink** to Domino’s new registered charity, Minds & Meals.

Minds & Meals is dedicated to supporting youth mental health through a national partnership with headspace, which will see the charity contribute $750,000 over three years to support thousands of 12-25-year-olds across Australia access vital support.

Additionally, Minds and Meals will support disaster relief by delivering safe, hot meals, alongside much needed financial support, during times of crisis.

Domino’s ANZ CEO and Minds & Meals Executive Director Don Meij said he is proud to be supporting these important causes through the Company’s new charity.

“As one of the largest employers of young people, Domino’s recognises the urgent need for youth mental health support in our communities. We are privileged to be in the position to respond quickly in times of major disaster and get safe, hot meals to those who need it most.

“I’m incredibly proud to be supporting both of these important causes through our new registered charity Minds & Meals, which is only made possible through the generosity of our customers who round up their orders and purchase pizza on Domino’s for Good Day.

“This year, we hope to raise more than $300,000 across Australia and New Zealand with the support of everyday heroes who choose to eat Domino’s pizza on 9 February!”

headspace CEO Jason Trethowan said he is excited to work with Domino’s to make a meaningful impact on youth mental health across Australia.

“With two in five young people experiencing a mental health disorder each year, the work of headspace has never been more important,” Mr Trethowan said.

“By partnering with Domino’s Minds & Meals, more young people will be able to get support from headspace when and where they need it most.

“With support from family, community and services like headspace, young people can get through tough times and look forward to a healthier and more hopeful future.”

This year, Domino’s is asking pizza lovers across Australia to forget superheroes in capes and be an everyday hero themselves – all by simply purchasing their favourite Domino’s pizza.
