Audience invited to join in Stump the Strategist

This year Stump the Strategist will include 200 audience member invited to take part with questions for the panel.

The announcement:

Described as a mix of The Gruen Transfer, Whose Line is it Anyway and Thank God You’re Here, the next Stump the Strategist event will be the biggest yet and will feature Naomi Simson, founder of RedBalloon.

Organised by Step Change Marketing, Stump the Strategist sees a panel of some of the best strategic minds in the country solve marketing problems, live, in just nine minutes.

In addition to being on the panel Simson will also talk about how brands need to create a brand experience for their customers.

Stump the Strategist has previously been an event for up to 50 marketing professionals, and has won a loyal following from marketers for its unpretentious, risky and raw approach to creative and strategic thinking.

For the first time more than 200 people will be invited to take part with questions for the panel generated by the audience. At the end of the nine minutes the audience then votes if the strategists have been stumped or not, with prizes awarded for the best questions.

Jeff Cooper, general manager at Step Change Marketing said: “We’ve held more than 20 Stump the Strategists and it’s time we take it to the next level. It’s a fun and useful way to approach marketing problems differently. We’re also delighted to have Naomi Simson join us. In addition to giving us her vision of creating meaningful customer experiences she will also pitch in and help answer some of the questions. It promises to be a great night.”

Stump the Strategist will take place at Luxe Studios, Darlinghurst on June 27 from 6.30pm.
