Dutch marketing sciences expert Wiemer Snijders to headline Mumbrella MSIX

Wiemer Snijders, partner at The Commercial Works based in The Netherlands, has been confirmed to keynote the Mumbrella MSIX conference in November.

Snijders will fly in from The Netherlands to headline Mumbrella MSIX

Snijders is at the forefront of marketing sciences, focusing on applying evidence based knowledge in advising his clients how to increase the effectiveness of their marketing efforts.

He was also the curating editor of Eat Your Greens: Fact-Based Thinking to Improve Your Brand’s Health, featuring 35 of the world’s top marketers including Byron Sharp, Bob Hoffman and Becky McOwen-Banks.

At MSIX, Snijders, who is also affiliated to the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science, will go through his top seven highlights from the book and speak about the more colourful contributions from the marketers involved.

Child will lift the lid on neuromarketing and how it can help clients innovate, create and measure brand building activities

Also confirmed to speak is the head of neuromarketing at Finder.com, Arron Child. He will present a session providing an overview on where neuromarketing is, the tools available, and most importantly, how it can help clients innovate, create, and measure brand building activities.

Child is a member of the Marketing Academy Alumni Council and has held neuromarketing positions at UDKU and Studio Etch as well as marketing positions at Microsoft.

Meanwhile, Don Marti, open source innovation strategist at Mozilla, and Eaon Pritchard, head of strategy at UM, will take the stage to explore the ‘signal’ in digital.

With web advertising grabbing headlines for fraud, privacy and trust issues, Marti and Pritchard will look at making it possible to use the web as a different kind of advertising medium, one that works better for carrying an economic signal.

The three new session join an already packed lineup including a debate on advertising pre-testing, moderated by MSIX curator and Thinkerbell founder, Adam Ferrier. The panel will feature Susan Coghill of Tourism Australia, Professor Rachel Kennedy at the Ehrenberg-Bass Institute for Marketing Science, Cassie Govan from Empirica Research and Daren Poole of Kantar Millward Brown.

Delegates will be invited to pitch a session idea on the day with the winners handed the stage in the afternoon

There will also be the opportunity for any delegate who wants to speak on a marketing sciences subject they are passionate to take the stage. Interested audience members can register their name and subject matter at the beginning of the day and the crowds will vote on the best three.

Mumbrella MSIX will take place on November 9 at the Powerhouse Museum in Sydney. Earlybird tickets are on sale now.
