Edge hires The Work’s David Arns and James Gillespie

Creative agency Edge has announced the appointment of senior creative team David Arns and James Gillespie to its creative department.

Off the back of new business wins and continued growth, Independent creative agency Edge has strengthened its creative department with the hire of senior team David Arns (left) and James Gillespie (right).


The pair have spent the past eight years working together across a number of Australian agencies including TBWA and R/GA, and most recently at The Works. Their combined portfolio includes bold creative ideas for esteemed brands like Google, Krispy Kreme, Samsung, Subaru, H&R Block, and Greenpeace.

Edge’s national executive creative director Simon Langley welcomed the new hires, saying: “This was a very important hire for the agency, a key senior team to ensure we deliver great work for our clients and take the business to the next level. Also, it was essential they were good humans that would add to our vibe and culture. It’s fair to say since they arrived, they have been doing both brilliantly.”

Arns and Gillespie said: “We were excited by the challenge of working with Langers to realise the vision Edge has creatively and we’re already getting stuck into briefs on some great new clients like Tennis Australia and Starlight Children’s Foundation that have recently come on board.”
