Endeavour Group, Coles, and Uber complete Retail Marketing Summit lineup

Excellence in CX, how retail brands can snag the next generation of consumers, a live podcast recording on optimising performance outcomes, and more exclusive insights will be on offer at Mumbrella’s Retail Marketing Summit, as the final 2024 program is revealed.

Over a year after the successful launch of its retail media arm, Endeavour Group — the parent brand of BWS and Dan Murphy’s — is locked in for an appearance at this year’s conference with the session: Five Lessons In CX Excellence, But Don’t Forget the BX.

Joanna Rose, the organisation’s chief marketing officer; Lisa Casey, head of growth and retention at Dan Murphy’s; and BWS’s general manager of marketing, Josie Brown, will be consolidating their top-tier advertising expertise and keen minds to show how businesses can tackle the always-relevant topic of customer experience (CX) excellence, and how brand experience (BX) plays a vital role in the overall retail experience.

The three will approach the topic from the perspectives of their respective companies, Rose will share insights from her time at Endeavour Group; Casey will speak on leveraging personalisation (with a contact strategy designed for and used by Dan Murphy’s); and Brown will offer delegates a look at the brand-experience initiatives BWS uses to secure valuable partnerships that exceed standard marketing functions.

In an era where customers are bombarded with more choices than ever before, delegates can leave Five Lessons In CX Excellence, But Don’t Forget The BX with the confidence to redefine their CX and BX strategies to offer recurring and new customers awe-inspiring, revenue-driving experiences.

Summit attendees can also look forward to a session all about connecting with Gen Z – the most avid consumers in the present, and the fast-approaching future.

Lunch with Uber: Unlocking The Next Generation for Retail Brands will place Gen Z under a retail microscope to spotlight the habits and behaviours that dictate their actions in the digital marketplace.

Moderated by Uber’s head of advertising sales for AUNZ, Michael Levine, and with other speakers including Brown Forman’s eCommerce manager, Mariano Favia, and two more soon-to-be announced experts, this panel will walk delegates through the relationship between new consumers, commerce platforms and retail brands.

In the end, attendees are set to have the knowledge and strategies they need dominate a market increasingly becoming a Gen Z-defined space.

Additionally, performance is the name of another session’s game.

Live Add To Cart Podcast with Pet Circle on Driving Performance Outcomes is a live podcast recording, set to feature Pet Circle’s chief growth and marketing officer, Jon Wild, and podcast and eCommerce advisor from Add To Cart, Nathan Bush.

The session will cover a slew of hot topics in today’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and retail landscape, such as supplier marketing and in-house creative. Delegates who are eager to tackle the aforementioned landscape’s opportunities and challenges — and the ways in which they can be leveraged to influence performance outcomes — should not miss this session.

Meanwhile, this year’s Retail Marketing Summit will also offer delegates a session that examines the retail sector with an unexpected pair of fresh eyes. Managing director at Market Economics, Stephen Koukoulas, is confirmed to be bringing his expertise as an economist to conduct the session, The Retail Outlook with Cautious Consumers.

A deluge of new jobs and pay rises is expected to hit the communications, sales, and media industries in 2024, and with a range of financial moves (tax cuts, interest rat cuts, etc.) expected to shake up society as a whole, Koukoulas’ talk will provide delegates answers with questions that plague all professionals in the retail industry: ‘Where do we focus our efforts?’ and ‘where do we focus our spending?’

Wrapping up the sessions list is Always On Innovation: Designing the Ultimate In-Store Customer Experience, presented by senior design manager of customer innovation at Coles Group, Pete Rose, and the General Store’s partner and chief strategy officer, Danny Lattouf.

Mumbrella’s Retail Marketing Summit will grace the halls of the Crown in Sydney on March 13, 2024. Tickets are available now.
