Enero digital agency Orchard appoints new CEO in leadership shuffle

Enero Group has appointed Wai Kwok as CEO of Orchard, the group’s digital and creative technology agency.

A co-founder of the agency, Kwok moves up from managing partner with co-founding partners, Martin Stafford and Sarah Galletly being appointed chief technology officer and chief operating officer.

Orchard was previously without a CEO and in the new role, Kwok will continue to report to Brent Scrimshaw, Enero Group CEO.

Holly Minucos has been appointed chief financial officer, moving across from Enero agency Hotwire, where she was VP, global finance.

On the announcement, Scrimshaw said: “The appointment of Wai comes at an exciting and pivotal time for Orchard, as he leads the agency’s next phase of growth alongside Martin Stafford, Sarah Galletly and Holly Minucos, the newly appointed chief financial officer, who now form the Orchard executive leadership team.”

On his appointment, Kwok said: “I’m incredibly excited to step into this position and continue leading our ambitious team of over 120 diverse thinkers. From humble beginnings 15 years ago, Orchard has grown into a vastly successful agency at the forefront of a constantly changing digital landscape. We have a great leadership team with a big future ahead of us as we continue to invest in creating and connecting brand experiences across digital, data and technology.”

Scrimshaw continued: “Wai has demonstrated exceptional leadership over the years, working in unison with Enero to grow Orchard into one of the worlds’ leading digital and creative technology agencies. He brings over 20 years’ industry experience to the role, with a strong background in digital marketing communications. I’m confident his leadership and clear vision for the company will continue to fuel Orchard’s significant momentum.”

Andrew Antoniou, the agency’s fourth managing partner appointed when it was acquired by Enero in 2017 is stepping down at the end of October. Antoniou will finish up at the agency after 15 years to move back to Europe with his family.

Founded in 2006, Orchard works with a range of clients including Hyundai, Boehringer Ingelheim, BPAY, The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, CSL and Hoyts, with offices in Sydney and New York.

In March, Mikaela Crimmins was promoted to head of strategy at Orchard to head up the experience team.

This year, Enero has made several other senior appointments, with Nick Burton being appointed as group strategy and M&A director this month. Hotwire also announced a new global CEO in Heather Kernahan in June. 

Enero said that since the acquisition in 2017, the company has almost doubled in size, with a team today of over 120 people.
