Essence hires Alan Jenner as director of publisher partnerships

Former senior product director of Comscore, Alan Jenner, has come on board at Group M media agency Essence as director of publisher partnerships.

Jenner has a background in ad ops, serving as an advertising operations manager for Optus, Ad2One and Bauer Media.

Lee Walsh, vice president of media activation for the media agency across APAC said of the appointment: “We are delighted to have Alan join Essence team as director, publisher partnerships, Australia. I am confident that Alan’s extensive experience of technology and publishers will add great value to our Australian business.”

WPP’s Group M acquired digital media buying agency Essence in 2015, with the agency eventually opening a Melbourne office in 2018 with Tiger as a foundation client.

In April last year, the agency appointed Russ Mitchinson – who had previously been MD of OMD in Perth – to lead strategy, and then brought Daphne Goh on board as VP of data strategy.
