Euro RSCG Sydney’s staff incentive scheme rewards contractor $10,000
As part of a new incentive scheme to motivate its staff, Euro RSCG Sydney has handed $10,000 to one of its employees – who is a contractor.
The scheme involves every member of staff voting for a co-worker they feel has contributed most to the agency’s values, which were set by Julie Burke, the agency’s MD, who joined in March.
Each month, a different winner gets $500 and is placed in a year-end draw for the $10,000, which is decided by spinning a wheel of fortune with the winners’ names written on it.
The agency’s values include “collaboration, creating fun, being fiercely loyal to ideas and embracing the unexpected”, according to a Euro press release.
“Being recognised by your peers is a powerful source of team building. We’ve simply built a structure around this and then created a financial incentive,” said Burke.
The winner was Thao Tran, a contractor, who joined what is now Arnold Furnace in 2009. She is now part of Euro RSCG’s digital production team.
Tran said she would spend the money on a trip to Europe next year.
