Fairfax Media’s Marketplaces division has created a new role – real estate director – Domain, Melbourne – following the integration of Fairfax’s Melbourne real estate advertising businesses.
The role has been filled by Craig Frost, who returns to Fairfax after 18 months at APN where he was general manager in Coffs Harbour, managing The Coast Advocate and The Woolgoolga Advertiser.
He will report to general Manager – key categories, Tony Blamey, and starts on April 18.
Blamey said: “Craig knows the Fairfax publications well, and has a deep understanding of the real estate industry in Melbourne. He has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the past, and will bring high energy and enthusiasm to this role.”

The news follows shortly after the former property editor and marketing director of Fairfax’s The Age, Antony Catalano, who launched The Weekly Review, a rival to Fairfax’s The Melbourne Weekly, ten months ago, appointed a new director of strategy, Darren Anderson.
Anderson joined Metro Media Publishing one month ago. He was previously at ACP for a nine year spell, latterly as national group sales director.
Catalano commented: “To get this sort of talent was a real result. In the magazine world, Darren is the best of the best.”
