Forever boosts audience but Nine’s share slips as Nine News ratings drop
In the absence of Seven’s Winter, Nine’s US drama Forever boosted its audience to 509,000 after slipping to 419,000 last week in the 8.45pm timeslot.
A second episode of the crime series, airing from 9.45pm was watched by 380,000, according to preliminary overnight figures from OzTam.
In time-shifted viewing, last week’s audience pulled an extra 172,000 viewers, taking its total audience to 581,000.
Nine’s The Block: Triple Threat also improved their ratings, up to 756,000 metro viewers from last week’s audience of 638,000 however it wasn’t enough to prevent the channel’s share from slipping to 16.6 per cent due to the poor performance of the news hour as Seven leaped ahead with a share of 27.1 per cent.
I personally think that David Attenborough specials are a Sunday night thing. It is the kind of programme where families can watch together.
People who are not tuning into the Good Wife and Wonderland are missing out, Wonderland in my opinion has gone from so so to good to really good in the last season.
The Good Wife continues top amaze me that people, or the people who have meters d do not tune in, I know of plenty of people who watch the show.
Maybe it is time that people who are keen to rate TV shows have an app on their phone which they tap if they are watching, ot another section if they recorded the show. It would have to be tied in somehow to the TV set so no false figures recorded but hey , it has to be better than 8000 people in five states giving us all our ratings. Last time I looked Hobart was a capital city.
Earth-shatteringly breakthrough idea Tim.
And I assume you will buy a smartphone for those that don’t have them so that “no false figures (are) (sic) recorded”.
