Former Samsung CMO Arno Lenior joins Amazon Australia as director of marketing

The former chief marketing officer at Samsung Electronics, Arno Lenior, has joined Amazon Australia as its director of marketing.

Lenior, one of Australia’s most senior marketers, departed Samsung in 2015 when the electronics company conducted a review of its marketing team.

The marketer joined Samsung in 2012 after a two year stint running his own consultancy.

Lenior was also the marketing director of Lion Nathan for nearly three years, working as part of the company’s marketing team for more than four years.

He has also held marketing positions at Apple and Enterprise.

Before joining Amazon Lenior ran his own business which involved consulting to various companies.

Amazon Australia officially launched its retail operations in Australia earlier this week.

The former head of communications at Uber Australia and New Zealand, Katie Curran, also moved to Amazon on Tuesday.

Lenior declined to comment while Amazon have been approached for comment.
