Former Sound Cloud country manager Shaun Alexander joins Starts at 60

Sound Cloud’s former country manager and commercial director Shaun Alexander has joined publisher Starts at 60 in the role of chief revenue officer.

Alexander was SoundCloud’s first local employee, and was key in establishing the company’s Australian team and operations.

However the music streaming service shut its local Australian operations earlier this year as part of major global cost cuts.

Prior to that he was head of brand partnerships at Pandora for two years, and also held roles such as interim commercial director and Australian launch sales lead.

Alexander has also worked with companies such as Spiral Media and CBS Interactive.

In his new role at Starts at 60, a site that caters to the baby boomer market, Alexander will look to build the company’s national commercial team across Sydney and Brisbane. The site has recently undergone a revamp and announced partnerships with St George Bank.

Alexander is looking forward to working in the baby boomer sector.

“Starts at 60 has built a highly-engaged community who are looking to brands to help them decide how to make the most out of the best years of their life,’ Alexander said.
