Frank PR appoints Annalise Brown as first CEO

Enero Group’s public relations agency, Frank, has appointed Annalise Brown to the newly created role of CEO.

Brown has held managing director roles at a number of agencies throughout her career, including at M&C Saatchi’s Bang PR and Hidden Characters, Porter Novelli and Splendid Communications Group.

Annalise Brown brings 20 years’ experience to Frank

Bang PR rebranded to Hidden Characters in 2017 under Brown’s leadership. When the PR agency was absorbed into M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment, Brown left the business.

Between 2017 and 2018, Brown was the chair of industry body, the Public Relations Council.

Brown joins Frank after an 18 month stint working as a communications consultant. In the CEO role, she will be working closely with managing director, Amy Whittaker – who was promoted to the role in 2018.

Brown said of her appointment: “This is an exciting time for the Frank business and indeed our industry. I’m looking forward to working with Amy and the team, growing the offering and therefore the opportunities locally whilst also capitalising on the extensive experience of our UK business.”

Frank chairman Graham Goodkind, said: “Annalise is the perfect person to spearhead Frank Australia in the next period of growth and work with the Enero and broader UK teams to unearth opportunities.

“Her record as a senior business leader is second to none. We’re excited for her to join the team.”

Meanwhile, joint managing director with Whittaker, Laura Jones, will be returning to Frank UK at the start of February. Jones was appointed to the joint MD role at the same time as Whittaker, joining the agency in Sydney from Frank UK where she was a director.

Previously, Jones has worked at Clarion Communications and Freud Communications in the UK.

The appointment of a CEO for Frank comes a month after Enero Group CEO, Matthew Melhuish, announced he was stepping down.
