Gary’s $90k old banger
A postscript to the Gary Hardwick carjacking story.
You may recall the Ikon boss had his BMW M5 taken at gunpoint. At the time, the Sunday Telegraph had it worth what looked to Dr Mumbo like a somewhat overstated $240,000.
Well, two new developments via the SMH. First, the paper reckons it was worth $250,000. But that’s inflation for you. And second they say he’s now traded down to a much more sedate Audi A5 worth a far more conservative $90,000. Well, times are tough.
May I suggest a Mitsubishi Magna (V6)? They go as fast the A5 and you could buy 90 of them.
