Havas promotes Nick Kavanagh to new integrated strategy and planning role

Havas Media Group has promoted Nick Kavanagh to the newly created role of head of integrated strategy and planning.

Kavanagh joined the business in 2020 from McCann London as head of integrated communications strategy. In his time with Havas Media he has taken the lead on strategy for Destination NSW and new client TK Maxx.

Nick Kavanagh has been promoted after a year at Havas Media

Kavanagh’s appointment comes almost two months after after Danni Dimitri’s promotion to head of strategy at Havas Media.

Viriginia Hyland, CEO of Havas Media Group, noted the continuation of promoting from within.

“Nick is very deserving of this exciting new role. As head of integrated strategy and planning, Nick will continue to develop Havas Media’s strategic output to deliver joined up thinking across the consumer pathway touchpoints,” she said.

“He will oversee the delivery of that strategic vision in a way that unites all facets of our integrated agency offering; from CRO, shopper marketing, performance digital, brand work and smart content delivery.”

In his time at McCann London, Kavanagh was the planning partner and communications strategy lead. Previously he was at OMD as strategy group head, and Naked Communications as strategy director.

Kavanagh said: “As a leadership team we are committed to building an agency designed wholly around generating growth for our clients. This obviously requires agility and deep understanding of their specific needs and challenges, but also a more integrated approach to how we deploy our collective agency expertise to meet them.

“Expanding my role from head of strategy, coupled with our recent hires, will ensure Havas Media continues to deliver meaningful media experiences – experiences that are both innovative and data driven – that deliver tangible commercial returns.”
