Hell’s Kitchen continues to struggle, with more viewers tuning into Home & Away and The Chase Australia
Seven’s entertainment offerings Home & Away and The Chase Australia attracted more metro viewers last night than the channel’s 7:30pm celebrity cooking show, Hell’s Kitchen.
Home & Away at 7:00pm was the most-watched entertainment program for Seven, averaging 762,000 metro viewers while The Chase Australia at 5:00pm attracted 628,000 metro viewers.
Later in the evening, Seven’s The Story of Diana, ranked 20th on the ratings ladder, with 486,000 metro viewers.
Nine’s entertainment programs dominated Monday night, with 1.068m metro viewers tuning in to The Block at 7:30pm, and 931,000 viewers watching This Time Next Year, which aired at 8:40pm.
The Block topped all key advertising demographics – 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54 – while This Time Next Year placed second across the 18-49s and 25-54s.
Ten’s later offering, Have You Been Paying Attention? had more viewers than Australian Survivor, managing metro audiences of 639,000 and 625,000 respectively.
Australian Survivor placed third in the 16-39 demographic, while Have You Been Paying Attention? came second in the 16-39s and third in the 18-49s.
ABC News was the most-watched program for the national broadcaster, with 755,000 metro viewers, while Australian Story attracted 653,000 metro viewers later on in the night.
Nine comfortably won the night with a 23.6% average audience share.
Seven’s share was 18.0%. ABC’s share of 12.9% just beat Ten, which managed a share of 12.5%. SBS’ share was 4.9%.

The British. Version is so much better. The contestants say their ages, the chaser takes longer to walk to their seat, plus, contestants get to see the chaser before the 1st ad break. We are too hung up on companies making money by ads. Why change a formula that works…. typically aussie lack of programming
