House Rules and Masterchef gain ground on faltering The Voice
The Voice saw its audience drop week-on-week once again to fall behind Seven News as the most-watched show of the evening, with reality rivals House Rules and Masterchef gaining ground on Sunday evening.
The singing show managed 1.224m viewers, down on last week’s 1.361m viewers, while Seven’s House Rules again trumped Ten’s Masterchef with the renovation show topping 1m viewers (1.03m) for the first time this series – Nigella Lawson’s appearance on the cooking contest lifting it by more than 100,000 metro viewers in Sunday to 956,000.
In the demographics Masterchef outperformed all other shows in the 16-39 and 18-49 categories but The Voice topped the 25-54 demo according to OzTAM overnight metro ratings.
Grand Designs on ABC from 7:40pm held steady at 842,000 viewers, with Midsomer Murders at 8:30pm grabbing 764,000 and eighth place overall for the evening.
