Igloo revvs up Mazda’s website

Digital agency Igloo has overhauled Mazda’s website.   The announcement:

Revving up Mazda’s consumer marketing in Australia, igloo has given the car manufacturer’s website a complete overhaul creating an innovative and unique digital marketing platform.

Recently launched, the Mazda website (www.mazda.com.au) is a truly integrated social media and community portal, with a specific focus on user engagement and interaction. Built on an improved technical infrastructure and featuring an array of rich user content, igloo have created an immersive experience which brings the Madza brand proposition to life online.

Adam Leys, Digital Account Director comments: “The core creative brief was to deliver Zoom-Zoom, the core of the Mazda brand strategy, to the digital experience. We wanted to redevelop the site so the customer could engage with the brand in a more entertaining and engaging way.”

In a first for an Australian car manufacturer website, social media and community generated content features at the forefront of the site, and users can contribute to the photo and video galleries online.

With a dedicated resource monitoring and contributing to its social media channels, regular blog posts, forums and a Twitter feed are just some of the social media content features.

The site has also been designed to fast-track calls to action, allowing users to easily book a test drive, find a car dealer, ask an expert and/or request a brochure.

The introduction of video content creates a more stimulating user experience. The video publishing platform Movideo has been used to deliver need-to-know information to watch and share. Recognising a global trend towards video, igloo plans to grow this content online as well as encourage its creation by the Mazda community.

Mazda is a leader in automotive design and the principles that drive this vision have been seamlessly reflected throughout the site.

Alastair Doak, National Marketing Manager at Mazda Australia said: “igloo has helped us build a great website that enables new and existing Mazda customers and other Mazda enthusiasts to connect with each other as well as with us and our brand”.

Additional updates of the site will be released over the next 12 months, further enhancing its functionality.
