Influencer platform Vamp appoints new CEO, also revealing new capabilities

Vamp, a global influencer and content platform based in Sydney has appointed Gabriele Famous as its new CEO.

Famous joins after most recently working at online platform Trustpilot where she was CMO, and will replace Gill Findlay, who is joining Vamp’s board.

On her appointment, Famous said: “With 4.2 billion global social users spending an average of two hours 25 minutes each day on social networks, there’s never been more demand for effective social advertising. That’s why it’s so important that brands have the right technology to scale their conversations with customers and build trust.”

Along with Famous’ appointment, Vamp has also revealed new “omni-channel capabilities”, enabling clients to coordinate influencer campaigns across multiple platforms, including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

Vamp said that this self-service approach “will empower brands to run simultaneous campaigns and harness the combined power of the most influential social platforms”. Current clients include Adobe, Williams Sonoma, Estée Lauder and Nestlé.

Since finishing up at Trustpilot in 2020, Famous has held roles as non-executive director of Mighty Kingdom and board advisor at fitness app Keep It Cleaner. She has previously worked with organisations including Salesforce and Zendesk.

Famous continued: “The platform puts the power of social communication at a brand’s fingertips and allows them to harness it in a fast, efficient and scalable way. Its intuitive nature will allow Vamp to grow, enabling more marketers, of all abilities and budgets, to run influencer campaigns.”

Vamp was launched in 2015, and following a $8.5 million capital raise in 2020 it launched its self-service platform. The company reporting that it is now being used in more than 65 countries.
