Innocean reveals digital hires as it emphasises ‘newsroom approach’

Creative agency Innocean has made a string of hires following the appointment of Mike Morrison as the agency’s MD at the start of the year.

Morrison said that the hires had been focused on boosting the agency’s digital capabilities.

John Campbell-Bruce, previously client services director at Alpha Salmon, has joined as head of digital. He has also worked at Droga5, Bullseye and Razorfish.

Simon Hodgson, previously an executive producer at Demonz Media, has joined has joined as head of digital/ executive producer.

Jye Calder, previously at Onepartners and The White Agency, has joined as digital producer.

And Neville Gotla, previously a digital producer at Saatchi & Saattchi  and before that at M&C Saatchi, has joined Innocean as senior digital producer.

Morrison said the hires are part of a strategy to focus the agency on content creation. He said: “We are building a content system in concert with our messaging offering. As brands go live the need for the newsroom approach is self evident.

“We are quietly going about getting the right people in place, to creative multiple narratives for our clients, and look forward to more announcements in this area before the end of the year.”

Innocean, which launched in Auastralia in 2009, is best known as the agency for Hyundai and Kia. It also counts Makeitcheaper.com.au as a client.
