Intermedia to publish Victorian Farmer magazine

Intermedia has added to its agricultural and rural custom publishing suite with Victorian Farmer, a title on behalf of Victorian Farmers Federation.

The publication was previously produced internally by the association and joins The Farmer, a title Intermedia publishes for NSW Farmers.

Intermedia also publishes The Muster, a digital newsletter, and The Farmer website. Victorian Farmer will be a quarterly publication, with group publisher James Wells saying it will cover the topics important to the industry.

“The Victorian Farmer provides farmers in this important rural region with crucial insight into farming issues, agricultural innovation, best business practices as well as profiles of farmers from Victoria,” said Wells.

Michelle Hespe, editor of The Farmer, will add Victorian Farmer to her remit.

Intermedia won the account for The Farmer earlier this year after the title had been launched by Medium Rare in 2018 with former Australian Women’s Weekly managing editor Michelle Endacott at the helm.

Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF) chief executive officer Stephen Sheridan said the organisation was excited to partner with the Intermedia Group.

“The Victorian Farmers Federation has been the voice of Victorian farmers since 1979 and is one of Australia’s leading farm advocacy lobby groups,” he said.

“We’re excited to be working with the Intermedia Group on the next chapter of the Victorian Farmer, our premier hard copy publication for VFF members. It’s a part the fabric of the farming community and an important platform to tell the story of Victorian farmers.”

With the addition of Victorian Farmer magazine, The Intermedia Group will now publish 31 magazines and 35 digital mastheads.
