Sub-Editor

We’re looking for a gun sub-editor to join our dynamic editorial team. Remote and flexible arrangements available for the right candidate.

Working alongside The Urban Developer’s editorial director, the sub-editor is responsible for maintaining the editorial quality of all content and the distribution and production of our daily property news.

You will work with our journalists to oversee the daily creation and distribution of our newsletters as well as the management of our sponsored and advertorial content.

Requirements
– Experienced journalist or sub-editor who has ideally worked in property, business or financial journalism
– Prior editing experience, solid fact-checking skills and a keen eye for detail
– A interest in digital media and understanding of SEO and data-driven storytelling
– Ideally you will have experience in the Adobe suite (Photoshop or Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or multimedia experience
– Proven ability to edit to tight deadlines
– Experience in managing staff/journalists and clients
– Educated to degree level or equivalent professional experience
