Junior Masterchef gears up for social media engagement
Ten is gearing up for a social media presence for Junior Masterchef, with the network placing an ad on Mumbrella today for an online community manager.
And in a potential clue to scheduling plans for the show, the ad states that the role will see the staffer on duty on Friday, Sunday and Monday evenings.
The ad says the network is looking for the role to start early next month. This would tie in with a report in today’s Daily Telegraph in Sydney that the launch of the show has been brought forward to September thanks to the positive reaction to the sizzle reel broadcast durign the final of Masterchef.
The job includes “moderating and driving discussion across Junior MasterChef’s official community channels – forums and commenting on MasterChef.com.au and social networking sites, Facebook and Twitter.”
And it also involves compiling wrap-ups of the mood of the blogosphere for network bosses.
According to the Tele’s report, programming chief David Mott is now ready to bring forward the launch to before rather than after the network’s coverage of the Commonwealth Games in October.
Just by way of interest, are there many people in Australia who could say they have 2-3 years experience in online community management?
