Kirstie Bedford adds Caravan World editorship to remit

Kirstie Bedford, editor of Adventure Group’s The Wanderer, will now also become the editor of Caravan World.

Bedford, who brings more than 20 years of journalism experience to the role, will remain editor of The Wanderer as she takes on her new responsibilities.

She is the fifth female in the title’s 50 year existence to take the helm of the monthly title, replacing Tim van Duyl, who will continue as editor of Trade-A-Boat and Trade RVs.

Van Duyl will continue working on the events side of Camper.

Bedford said she was honoured to take over responsibility for one of Australia’s oldest running caravan magazines.

“We have the most authoritative writers in the industry covering everything you need to know about caravans, camping and travelling around Australia. Our readers see this magazine as their bible when it comes to hitting the road, and I look forward to continuing to inform, educate and excite our readers,” Bedford said.

Leah Glynn, digital content manager at Adventures Group, will become deputy of both Caravan and The Wanderer.

Meanwhile, Aaron Flanagan, editor of Camper will add editor of the newly rebranded Outdoor magazine to his remit.

Adventure Group is the publisher of Trade-A-Boat, Caravan World, Camper, Outdoor and The Wanderer. Majority of the titles were purchased more than 18 months ago by former Bauer staffer Rob Gallagher.
