KWP makes senior creative and client services hires

Adelaide-based creative agency, KWP, has made two senior hires in Josh Fanning and Hollie Doran.

Fanning joins KWP as group creative director. He was previously at Solstice Media where he was managing publisher and creative director of the magazine he founded, City Mag.

Doran is the new client engagement director at the agency. She has recently returned from a stint in New York where she worked at Giant Spoon, DDB, Terri & Sandy and Kirshenbaum Bond Senecal + Partners.

Hollie Doran and Josh Fanning are new additions to KWP

KWP CEO, David O’Loughlin, said: “Both Josh and Hollie understand the fundamental benefits that communication and creativity bring to brands and they will add a new dimension to KWP’s creativity, strategy and insight development.

Doran said of her appointment: “After so many years growing my skills and experience overseas, I felt a strong desire to bring that all back to the place where I started. I am thrilled to join a fabulous agency with an equally fabulous client list and am excited to see what we can achieve together.”

Fanning added that he was looking forward to exploring “new, exciting and powerful opportunities to unite KWP’s clients with their customers”.

O’Loughlin also reflected on the impact COVID-19 has had on the communications industry, including that “now more than ever, as we all re-evaluate our own connectivity with people, places and partnerships, brands are under increased scrutiny”.

O’Loughlin said: “We know that stronger connections will be forged with customers by a brand’s ability to understand deeper, the role it plays in the life of its customers and its community.

“The job of true commercial creativity is to narrate that role and build strong and enduring brand connections. This new generation of leaders will allow us to build that narrative, to understand how to share it with customers in a broad spectrum of media, technology and experiential forms.”

Last year, KWP acquired PR agency, Kate O’Rourke Public Relations, and Northern Territory branding and design studio Boab.
