Landors appoints senior strategist
Sydney-based brand consulting firm Landors has appointed a new senior strategist in Jarrod Vassallo, formerly of Interbrand Sydney.
The announcement:
Landor’s Sydney office today announced the addition of a new Senior Strategist to its growing Strategy Department.
The office welcomes Jarrod Vassallo, who joins Landor after completing his Masters in Innovation, Strategy and Organisation from the University of Cambridge in the UK, coming first overall. Prior to that, Jarrod worked at Interbrand Sydney as a Senior Consultant where he was a senior member of the strategy team responsible for leading and executing strategy programs for a number of blue chip clients, including Commonwealth Bank, Ausenco and Yahoo!7.
“It’s exciting to be back and Sydney and working on client projects again,” said Vassallo. “After being abroad for around a year and challenging myself in a different way I feel I can inject a whole new perspective into how I approach things.”
Vassallo’s appointment rounds off a notable year for the Landor strategy department, which also saw the appointments of Richard Swain and Taby-Taylor Ziane. Director of Strategy, Ziane, who like Vassallo, has extensive qualitative and quantitative research experience, said of his appointment: “We’re really excited to have Jarrod join us. 2012 is already looking like a big year for corporate strategy, so it’s great to have someone with Jarrod’s background on board with us.”
Managing Director, Dominic Walsh said: “A key part of our business strategy for this year is to further build our strategy and innovations offer. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Jarrod previously and know firsthand that he will bring depth and rigour to our clients business challenges.”
